mountainous scenery. Visitors can wander from one end of the valley to the other, following the riverfrom hamlet to hamlet,
or take a slightly different, higher pathway along gentle mountainsides Further into the valley, rural Milders, with its excellent
hiking trail leads to an impressive glacier that rewards keen hikers with stunning snow-clad views. Alternatively, the wild
and beautiful Oberbergtal valley boasts some delightful picturesque trails.
Salzburg enjoys a magnificent setting below a medieval fortress on the banks of the river Salzach. Renowned as one of Europes
loveliest cities, it was the location for the filming of "The Sound of Music" and is the perfect gateway to the beautiful
Salzkammergut Lake District - an area of spectacular unspoilt lakes and tranquil alpine meadows.
Verona in northern Italy is famous worldwide as the setting for Shakespeares "Romeo and Juliet" and is home to
one of Europes most magnificent open air theatres that recieves international acclaim. The city is also perfectly situated
for easy access to the nearby Italian Lakes, particularly Lake Garda. The lakeside is dotted with charming towns and villages including the bustling resort of Garda itself. Its hillside backdrop,
covered with olive groves, cypress trees and famous Valpolicella vineyards offers some of the regions best walking and hiking
